Volunteer Opportunity: Host a J-1 High School Exchange Student with Greenheart Exchange!

About Us: Greenheart Exchange is dedicated to promoting cultural understanding, academic development, environmental consciousness, and world peace. Our programs aim to foster global citizenship and build bridges across cultures.

Opportunity Description: We are seeking compassionate and open-minded volunteers to host J-1 high school exchange students for the upcoming school year. Hosting an exchange student is a rewarding experience that allows you to make a positive impact on a young person's life while learning about another culture.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a welcoming and supportive home environment for a high school exchange student.
• Include the student as a member of your family and involve them in family activities.
• Offer a separate bed, three meals a day, and transportation to and from school (if needed).
• Serve as a mentor and guide, helping the student adjust to American culture and their new surroundings.

Requirements:

• Must be 26 years or older.
• Pass a background check and home visit.
• Demonstrate the ability to provide a safe, nurturing, and culturally sensitive environment.
• No specific family structure is required - singles, couples, families with or without children are all welcome!
