Job description
Conversations to Remember is a nonprofit organization, dedicated towards enriching the lives of senior citizens. Our focus is on seniors who are feeling socially isolated, whom we help by arranging intergenerational video visits between them and college students. We're looking for a volunteer who can take on a management position, leading our teams of outreach volunteers.
Responsibilities
You will lead the teams doing outreach to seniors and student volunteers; your responsibilities will include effort tracking, trainings, daily supervision, quality of the team's work, and meeting virtually with respondents who seek more information.
Qualifications
We're looking for a leader, who can manage multiple teams of student volunteers, providing them with mentorship and guidance. You should be adept at tracking team progress, as well as motivating remote workers.
Time Commitment
We're seeking an individual who can commit to 20 hours per week for this position. The hours are flexible, but this will require daily attention.
Key Responsibilities
Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and support a remote team, consisting often of college students.
- Provide guidance and resources to team members to enhance their effectiveness.
- Address and resolve any team issues promptly and effectively.
- Plan and run weekly virtual meetings with the outreach teams.
Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for schools and senior organizations.
- Answer questions and provide information about our programs.
- Facilitate smooth communication between all stakeholders.
Strategy and Planning:
- Develop outreach strategies to expand our reach and impact.
- Identify and implement best practices for team operations and outreach activities.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to align outreach goals with organizational objectives.
Qualifications
- Experience in team management, preferably with remote teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in using virtual communication tools and platforms.
- Passionate about making a positive impact in the community.

Connecting high school and college students with residents in assisted living communities to combat the epidemic of loneliness. Putting a smile on the faces of seniors, including those experiencing cognitive decline, creating a bridge between seniors and youth.
Description
High School & College Students: Once a week 2 or 3 students engage in a video call with a senior citizen who is in an assisted living facility. Most of the residents that we are working with have some form of cognitive decline. The calls last about an hour, and we have 2 or 3 students doing it together. During the virtual visit, students don't have to be physically together, they can each be on their own device.
