Holman Recovery Center, a nonprofit in Northwest Washington, provides addiction treatment for low-income, homeless, and incarcerated individuals. Born from the dreams of dedicated counselors and social workers, we aim to transform lives and build stronger communities.

We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers from across the U.S. to join our grant research team! No experience needed-just a passion for making a difference. Orientation and training will be provided - this is a great opportunity for interns, students, people wanting to learn more about grants, people interested in working with or starting a nonprofit, and more!

What We Need:
- 2 to 4 hours of research per week
- 1 hour weekly virtual meeting
- Minimum one-year commitment
- Strong writing and grammar skills
- Comfortable with virtual research

Your Impact:
Help us identify potential grant funders to support our mission. If you have an interest in grant writing, you’ll have opportunities to assist with applications as well.

Ideal Backgrounds (Not Required):
- Substance Use Disorder treatment and recovery
- Mental health and social services
- Organizational development, team building, executive coaching
- Nonprofit organizations and advocacy
- Community organizations (municipalities, Chambers, Rotary, etc.)

Description

Holman Recovery Center is a CARF Accredited, 36-bed residential substance use disorder treatment program for men and women struggling with addiction. We provide compassionate care to people with substance use disorders in a supportive, non-judgmental residential environment. We accept Medicaid, Cigna, and United Health insurance. Holman Recovery Center uses education and Evidence Based Treatment (such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) to improve our client outcomes and maximize their potential for long-term recovery. HRC clients with Opioid Use Disorders can access Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT - such as Methadone, Suboxone and Vivitrol) through our partnerships with local healthcare providers. We also introduce our clients the principles of 12-step programs and other community resources that will support their long-term Recovery.
