St. james Food Pantry participates in the Greater Chicago Food Despository's Mobile Pantry program to provide supplemental perishable abd non perishable food products every second Saturday of the month. Volunteers serve from 8 am to 12 pm, and the food is distributed from 9 am to 11 am. All work is done outside, rain or shine. Services include but are not limited to:
1 set up - bagging food, setting up tables
2 intake - registering people for the program and scanning their cards
3 - box breakdown
4 - clean up, sweeping up, table break down

St. James Social Care Program, rooted in the mission of Jesus, reaches out from St. James Catholic Church with specialized programs to meet the spiritual, social and physical needs of all who live in the surrounding community regardless of race or creed. Through these programs, social care provides compassionate support to improve the quality of life of those we serve.
