Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Volunteer Software Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for new engineers looking to gain hands-on experience working with production-level software. You will be contributing to the development and maintenance of our software, which plays a crucial role in supporting our mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain software applications using C#, Blazor Pages (MudBlazor), and ASP .NET.
  • Collaborate with the team to design, implement, and test new features.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
  • Utilize GitLab for code repository and pipeline management.
  • Deploy applications using Azure.
  • Create and consume REST APIs.
  • Utilize Jira for project management and tracking.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and demo new features and updates.
Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with C#, Blazor Pages, ASP .NET, and Git.
  • Understanding of REST API development and consumption.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Good communication skills for interacting with stakeholders and team members.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with Jira or similar project management tools.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field, or a recent graduate from a coding bootcamp.

Rebuilding Together North Texas is a local nonprofit performing critical home repairs and ADA modifications for low-income homeowners and their families in Denton, Dallas, Collin, Rockwall, and Tarrant counties. We have a strong focus on seniors, veterans and their surviving spouses, families with children, and people with disabilities. These home repairs are often the gateway to improved neighborhood and community cohesion, as our vision is safe homes and communities for everyone.
