We are a volunteer organization that serves our communities all across the United States in Cadet (Youth) Program, Aerospace Education, and Emergency Services.

Many opportunities for everyone (adults and youth). If you have interests in developing youth ages 12 to 18, promoting Aerospace Education/STEM/Cyber Security, help others by doing Search and Rescue and Disaster Relief services, Civil Air Patrol is for you.

Youth interested in learning to fly an airplane/glider, growing in leadership and teamwork, learning about aerospace, aviation, STEM, Cyber Security, learning to be healthy, community service, open more opportunities for education and flight scholarships, Military Academies, College/University, develop a strong college/job resume, and much more... Mission Statement

Mt Pocono Composite Squadron: "It is the mission of the Mt Pocono Composite Squadron to develop competence in our community’s youth in the areas of leadership, aerospace knowledge, volunteer service; instilling in them a sense of integrity, a desire to be excellent and help them develop the crucial life skills of self-management, self-discipline, strong work ethic, and respect for one another."

Description

Mt Pocono Composite Squadron is one of the squadrons in Group 4 of Pennsylvania Wing located in Northeast PA.
Squadrons in Group 4 are located in Whitehall, Easton, Quakertown, Doylestown, Tobyhanna, Jessup, Wilkes-Barre (as of July 2024).

Mt Pocono Composite Squadron meets every Tuesday 6:30 pm to 9 pm at VFW Post 3448 at 119 VFW Dr Tobyhanna, PA 18466.

As a Total Force partner and Auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force, Civil Air Patrol is there to search for and find the lost, provide comfort in times of disaster and work to keep the homeland safe. Its 60,000 members selflessly devote their time, energy and expertise toward the well-being of their communities, while also promoting aviation and related fields through aerospace/STEM education and helping shape future leaders through CAP’s cadet program.

Civil Air Patrol’s missions for America are many, and today’s adults and cadets perform their duties with the same vigilance as its founding members - preserving CAP’s 75-year legacy of service while maintaining its commitment to nearly 1,500 communities nationwide.
