ORGANIZATION: National MS Society, Upstate New York

Time for something old and something new! Enjoy the familiar views of the Yadkin River Valley with a community of riders dedicated to changing the world for people with MS. Soak in the landscape and beautiful views while riding along a two-day route that showcases the rolling foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Experience an all-new enhanced start and finish line location and feel the extraordinary excitement as we come together to reach our goal - a world free of MS.

We need volunteer support to help this event run smoothly. From set-up to tear down, greeting and registering cyclists, rest stop support and more, volunteers are the true heroes of Bike MS!

About National MS Society, Upstate New York

Location:

1000 Elmwood Ave., Suite 900, Rochester, NY 14620, US

Mission Statement

To help create a world free of MS.

Description

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society funds more MS research, offers more services to people with MS, provides more professional education programs and advances more MS advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world. Through its home office and fifty-state network of chapters, the National MS Society provides assistance to over a million people annually in its continuing mission to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis.

Seeking out and engaging volunteers to the MS cause is at the very core of our business. Each year the Society organizes a series of community events that provide many opportunities for the enthusiastic volunteer. The Society offers three key fundraising activities: The Bike MS Ride, Walk MS and Walk MS Challenge. The Society also engages volunteers to help influence law-makers at the federal, state and municipal levels toward legislation important to people with MS. The Society is looking for passionate volunteers with expertise in areas such as: marketing communications, public relations, corporate and donor development, medical, legal, administrative and organizational expertise.
