Did you know that teachers spend hundreds of dollars out of their own pockets every year to supply their classrooms? Kumu's Cupboard is on a mission to lessen this burden for Kauai's educators and other educational staff. Teachers can shop once a month in our store all for FREE.

Kumu's Cupboard is operated 100% by volunteers. We need more help to keep growing and expanding our support. We have a variety of opportunities available including working in the store, special projects, assisting with events, fundraising, and community outreach.

We invite you to explore our opportunities at a special event July 13, 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM in our store. If you are unable to make this event, please contact us at kumuscupboard@gmail.com or 808-647-6989

Mission Statement

Kumu’s Cupboard is Kauai’s nonprofit store where teachers can shop for free. Kumu’s Cupboard is filled with school supplies, office supplies, materials for art and science projects, and student incentives.

Description

Many educators spend their own money to enhance the education of their students whether to buy basic school supplies or materials for a special project. Kumu’s Cupboard opened January 28, 2017, to support public, private and charter school K-12 teachers, counselors, and educational assistants.

Since our opening we have grown quite a bit and continue to expand our offerings based on funding. We are very involved in the community and continue to advocate for the supply needs of teachers and their students.
