1-2 Volunteer(s), with their own vehicles, needed 2 hours per week on an ongoing basis to "shop" for food at the Second Harvest of Silicon Valley's warehouse at 750 Curtner Avenue, San Jose, CA 95125 then deliver to Midtown Family Services.
Volunteer(s) set own hours though hours do need to fit within both Curtner Center Shopping/Hub hours and Midtown Family Services office hours. Midtown Family Services' mission is to assist individuals and families who are homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless, become self-sufficient in housing and interdependent domains through timely and evidence-based interventions.
Midtown Family Services provides support for low-income individuals/families living in San Jose and surrounding communities in two program areas: Financial counseling and navigation services for low income, working, members of the community with basic needs; and reentry of individuals back into the community after incarceration in state prison.
