Mentor young coders with Bold Idea in ideaSpark Coding Clubs. Sign up for a once-weekly coding club that takes place online or hybrid with the student’s school or community center. Be a technology role model and mentor to students who are excited to learn about coding and technology. Students learn 21st-century skills while building relationships with mentors who show them how their new skills can help them pursue future careers. Students work on projects in Scratch, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript.

Mentor Requirements
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Computer with Wi-Fi Access (no tablets), Camera, and Microphone
- Complete and pass a background check annually
- Attend mentor training before start of camps (2 hours virtual)
- A passion for computer science education and patience for the learning process
- NO previous coding experience is required

Bold Idea helps Dallas area students discover computer science and prepare for careers in technology and engineering.
