Island Senior Resources newest program, ISR Connects - C3, is a social engagement program attempting to close the gap between older adults and social isolation through meaningful social engagement. We are conencting volunteers and participants of similar interests in hopes of creating meaningful relationships. ISR Connects - C3 hopes to bring older adults out of the home if they are able to do so and bring them back into the community in a post pandemic world. Many volunteers and particiapnts meet weekly for simple companionship or friendly visiting. Some volunteers and participants meet at social gatherings across the island. For example, participants and volunteers attend game afternoons, grabbing lunch, going on walks or trips to the theatre. With your help, we will be able to help those socially isolated!

SSIC is here to enrich and support the lives of community residents 50 years and older.
We know that as people enter the second half of life their needs and desires change. As we continue to age, our stories get richer and our relationship to life, to others and even to ourselves begins to change.
