Do you have a heart for others and a desire to become a HERO in the eyes of another and your community? If your answer is YES, Gentiva Hospice needs YOU!

Compassionate hospice volunteers are a valuable part of our patient-centered care team. They improve the quality of life for our patients and families at a time in life that matters most. As a Gentiva volunteer, you can make a difference in the following way:

  • Providing companionship to patients: Read, play music or simply hold a hand
  • Running errands or performing light housework
  • Supplying respite care for caregivers so that they may rest or run errands
  • Veteran-to-veteran opportunities available
  • Vigil Volunteers

Our volunteer coordinator will help you discover the best fit for you based on your interests and preferences. Your volunteer hours are set around your schedule. No healthcare experience? NO PROBLEM! The only requirement is time and a heart for others. Initial and on-going training will be provided.

Gentiva Hospice is part of a family of hospice care providers focused on compassionate care and extraordinary service for the patients and the families we serve. Be a part of our team and BECOME A HERO!

We are currently in need of volunteers in the cities of Racine and Kenosha as well as surrounding communities.
