Zone Support - Cooking for Kids BBQ Competition

Our Zone Support Teams will patrol one of four zones as courtesy ambassadors, vendor liaisons, and to offer logistical support that ensures a safe, fun, and welcoming environment.

Each team will consist of one CK Staff or Board Member and one volunteer. Together, you will:

• Regularly walk through your assigned area to monitor operations and serve as an ambassador for guests, vendors, and volunteers in need of assistance.
• Use a two-way radio to provide status updates, relay messages, and alert event leadership to problems or concerns.
• Monitor and assist with the timely removal of trash to ensure a sanitary, safe and welcoming environment.
• Assist event leadership with greeting new volunteers arriving at shift change times to ensure they feel properly oriented and supported.
• Other duties as assigned

Shift info: Ideally looking for volunteers available to work both the AM and PM Shifts, but a split shift is also possible as follows:

• AM SHIFT: 10:00am - 2:00pm
• PM SHIFT: 2:00pm - 6:00pm
• If you are available to work the full day, please select both shifts when submitting your registration. A 30 minute lunch break will be provided for those working the full day.

All volunteers who work the day of the event will receive tokens redeemable at competition booths for BBQ and beverages as our way of saying, Thank you!
