Bristol Hospice is currently seeking volunteers to work our patients who are receiving hospice care. This listing is specifically for the neighborhoods located in the perimeter of the City of Atlanta, including but not limited to: Decatur, Avondale Estates, Lakewood, Gresham Park, Fort McPherson, East Point, Cascades and Hapeville.

Listed below are a majority of the job duties that a volunteer can do with a patient.

(Job duties may include):
1. Provide Companionship
2. Play games
3. Leisure activities
4. Listening to music
5. Read books, newspapers, daily affirmations
6. Writing letters
7. Meal Preparations/Light Housekeeping
8. Watching Movies
9. Taking walks
10. Providing caregiver relief
11. 11th Hour Vigil
12. Being present

Description

Bristol Hospice provides hospice services to meet the physical, psycho-social, and spiritual needs of individuals at the end of life in the greater Atlanta, Cobb, Gwinnett and West GA area. We focus on an individualized plan of care which may include, as appropriate, the following services: nursing, physicians, hospice aides, spiritual support, therapy, dietary, counseling, volunteers, durable medical equipment, supplies, bereavement services and medications related to the terminal illness. Volunteers are an integral part of our patient care team.
