Pre-Event Preparation
Assist with event setup, including arranging tables, chairs, decorations, and signage.
Help prepare event materials such as registration forms, name tags, and promotional items.
Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and community partners as needed.
During the Event
Welcome and direct attendees, providing information and assistance as needed.
Assist with registration and check-in processes, ensuring a smooth entry for all guests.
Support the execution of event activities, such as workshops, games, and presentations.
Manage crowd control and ensure the safety and comfort of all attendees.
Distribute materials, brochures, and promotional items to attendees.
Provide support to speakers, performers, and special guests.
Post-Event Tasks
Assist with event teardown, including packing up materials and equipment.
Help with the cleanup and organization of the event space.
Collect feedback from attendees and provide input for future events.

Rising Now's mission is to provide opportunities for students who have a desire to improve academically and professionally, to feel connected to their communities and schools, and who want to build their self-esteem and increase healthy decision-making and behaviors.
Description
Rising Now, Inc. is committed to supporting our youth and young adults by providing endless opportunities for the skill development that is necessary for success in life and in the workforce. We have provided mentoring and internships to over 100 students.
As a new organization in the Charlotte area, our plans for the coming year are focused on the foundational development of the support we offer our participants to better prepare them for success in life and in the workforce. These goals include designing and delivering relevant workshops in the areas of college preparation, financial literacy, interview preparation, resume writing, and more; developing and launching our mentorship program with community members to guide our youth in decision making and building positive self-esteem; building an internship program with a variety of businesses and organizations to provide work experience and connect students with career opportunities; and creating partnerships with schools and other agencies in the community to ensure our offerings are accessible to youth from all backgrounds.
We are in need of volunteers who have a passion working with our youth. We are flexible with schedules so please review what we have listed. We love our volunteers and appreciate everything they do! We couldn't be successful without you.
