Do you enjoy encouraging others to accomplish healthy living and well-being goals? Or, do you want to help people who are or know someone living with a chronic disease? If so, consider becoming a Healthy Living Volunteer! In this role, you will support the Healthy Living Staff by assisting with and/or leading Matter of Balance and Chronic Disease classes (some in person, some virtually), and help with set-up and take-down before and after classes.

If you are comfortable speaking in groups, interacting with others and providing constructive feedback, have a sincere desire to help others, and have basic computer skills, this could be the perfect volunteer opportunity for you! You would not be on your own - your team would be available to you for training and support, and some classes have co-teachers.

Once trained, the time commitment for each of these roles varies, but classes are scheduled in advance so you can plan around them.

All volunteers must fill out an application packet, submit to a background check, and obtain a Level 1 fingerprint clearance card (paid for by PCOA).
