The Advocacy Volunteer position supports the organization by conducting research on relevant policy issues, legislation, and regulations impacting PCOA's mission. This role is crucial in helping to identify potential allies, partners, and stakeholders, monitoring legislative and regulatory developments, assisting with writing advocacy alerts, and organizing advocacy events.
Volunteers in this position play a vital role in advancing PCOA's advocacy priorities and ensuring that the organization remains informed and engaged with relevant policy matters.
If you enjoy doing research, attending advocacy events, learning about policy and legislative issues, and have organization, writing, and people skills, this could be the perfect volunteer opportunity for you!
Volunteers must fill out an application packet, submit to a background check, and obtain a Level 1 fingerprint clearance card (paid for by PCOA).
