Stuart - Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County is seeking dedicated individuals to serve as youth mentors to provide guidance, support and be a positive role model to our youth. As a Youth mentor, you will have the chance to make a meaningful impact on youth lives by building relationships, offering encouragement, and fostering personal and academic growth.
Choice of four clubs located throughout the county -Hobe Sound, Indiantown, Downtown Stuart, and Port Salerno. For additional information, contact the Volunteer Manager at 772-545-1255 or Volunteer@bgcmartin.org.
Key responsibilities/Specific tasks:
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with youth, serving as a supportive and trusted adult role model.
- Engage in regular one-on-one mentoring to focus on building self-esteem, goal setting, and problem -solving skills.
- Provide academic support and assistance with homework, studying, and educational goal setting.
- Serve as positive advocate for the youth, helping them navigate challenges.
Time Commitment:
Due to the importance of consistency for one-on-one tutoring or mentoring, a minimum time commitment is one hour per week.
