Join United Way of the Alberta Capital Region on July 4th for a Community Day building backpacks for Tools for School!

Volunteers will prepare and sort donated school supplies and assemble all items into backpacks to be delivered to schools across the region.

United Way’s Tools for School ensures all kids have the tools they need to succeed. By donating your time on July 4th from 1-3pm, you’ll be helping to reduce one known barrier preventing children and youth from successful learning and participation in school. This program provides grade school students with the educational supplies they need to achieve classroom success. In some schools, the demand for these supplies is as high as 8 in 10 students, most of whom are at the elementary school level. Without the proper tools, children can find it difficult to complete the schoolwork that will shape their own success and the educational health of their community.

If you're interested, please fill out the form by copy and pasting this link below into your browser (be sure to mention "Community Day" and request July 4th in the comments section). Once we receive the form, a United Way team member will reach out.
