We have driving shifts for the Leucadia, La Jolla, and Hillcrest farmers' markets every Sunday. You'll be transporting fresh produce from the market to one of our Feeding Partners. Examples of Feeding Partners are Alpha Project for the Homeless, Jewish Family Services, UCSD Food Pantry, and PlusBox.

For Leucadia: you must have an SUV or larger.

For Hillcrest and La Jolla: you must be trained by PG staff and be ready to drive a Nissan Transit van.

We're a food recovery organization but not a traditional one. We go to the source of surplus produce - backyard orchards, farms, farmers' markets, and grocery stores - to recover the excess and transport it to food pantries, shelters, and other organizations that help food-insecure San Diegans.
