Volunteer Opportunity, Program Coordinator

Empower change by utilizing your professional expertise to ensure that fewer youths have to face challenges like skipped meals, gun violence, and poverty. At Season to Soar, we are committed to equipping underserved youth with the support they need to overcome these circumstances.

As the Program Committee Coordinator for Season to Soar, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the coordination and execution of the organization's key programs. This volunteer, unpaid position facilitates effective collaboration and ensures the successful implementation of Season to Soar's initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure successful implementation of the Global Leadership Youth Program and related activities, delivering desired impacts for school partners, parents, and youth participants.
  • Cultivate relationships with schools, youth organizations and other stakeholders within our target area.
  • Manage project progress, addressing delays and obstacles to maintain project timelines.
  • Measure program performance and make necessary adjustments to enhance outcomes.
  • Support the communication of committee developments, outcomes, and updates to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Actively engage in regular Committee Meetings to discuss progress, formulate strategies, and tackle challenges effectively.

Time Commitment:

Estimated commitment of 2 hours per week executing projects in addition to a 30 minute weekly committee meeting. This position has a term length of 1 year.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for Season to Soar's mission and commitment to making a difference in underserved communities.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with an ability to balance multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey information clearly and facilitate productive discussions.
  • Leadership experience, including the ability to motivate and guide a team of volunteers.
  • Experience working in program committee or project management.
