Position Overview: FLI-SL is seeking dedicated and passionate volunteer Advocacy Officers to join our team. As an Advocacy Officer, you will play a vital role in advancing our mission by promoting policies and initiatives that protect and empower children, women, and girls in Sierra Leone. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are committed to making a difference and have a strong background in advocacy and public policy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement advocacy strategies to influence public policy and raise awareness about issues affecting children, women, and girls.
• Conduct research and gather data to support advocacy campaigns and policy proposals.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, NGOs, and community leaders.
• Organize and participate in advocacy events, workshops, and meetings.
• Prepare and distribute advocacy materials, including reports, policy briefs, and press releases.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of advocacy efforts and campaigns.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of advocacy principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to conduct thorough research and present findings clearly and persuasively.
• Experience in organizing events and building coalitions.
• Knowledge of the socio-political context in Sierra Leone is a plus.
• Passion for FLI-SL’s mission and a commitment to making a difference.
