Position Title: Resource Development Manager

Position Description: The Resource Development Manager activities include researching public and private support and identifying potential individual, corporate, foundation and institutional funding sources. The position will cultivate relationships with funding sources on both the local, state, and national level and develop annual development goals to address Deliverance Charities program needs.

Duties include writing grants and grant reports, grant research, reporting, donor recognition, and annual fund solicitations, organization and planning of fund and friend-raising events, cultivating and maintaining individual donors, and managing all contributors in a donor database. Assisting public relations efforts, including the preparation and production of press releases, promotional materials and program brochures.

About the Deliverance Charities: Deliverance Charities is a U.S.- based nonprofit organization dedicated to influencing and encouraging people and families living in poverty by focusing on their financial well-being.

Location: Primarily remote . While it’s expected that most work can be completed remotely, there may be occasions where in-person meetings and networking events may take place. Still optional to attend. You are only required to be on site at events you planned and organized. The organization is based in South Florida, but the scope of its programming and services is generally the entire state. You must live in between Palm Beach to Miami-Dade counties.

Reports to: Executive Team of Deliverance Charities (President, Senior Vice President, Vice President).

Job Requirements:

  • Education and Experience with a bachelor’s degree in business, sales, nonprofit management, or related field
  • 3-5 years’ experience in fundraising with strong grant writing and donor cultivation skills.
  • Commensurate experience in professional fundraising.
  • Activities include researching public and private support and identifying potential individual, corporate, foundation and institutional funding sources.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Fundraising techniques with expertise in writing grants and proposals and cultivating individual donor support.
  • Knowledge of public and private resources as potential sources of funding for programs and projects, including those involved with community development, arts, workforce development and economic development activities.
  • Experience managing donor databases.
  • Strong computer knowledge and skills including donor management software, Google Workspace programs, spreadsheet creation and interpretation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to show accuracy, timeliness and follow-up on tasks.
  • Ability to work as a team leader, coordinating activities with other staff/volunteers to meet overall objectives within specified timeframes.
  • Ability to onboard volunteers.
  • Demonstrated ability to take the initiative to anticipate future funding needs.
  • Ability to make sound decisions within the scope of the job.

Work Environment: Our team is collaborative and supportive, using tools Google Gmail, Chat and Space to stay connected and work efficiently.

Job Length:

  • This is a volunteer and remote position.
  • Volunteer contract only for a year.

Schedule:

  • Self-determined schedule but need updates monthly.
  • At least 2 hours a week, anything more is appreciated
  • Updates should be submitted via email.

Next Growth and Advancement:

  • Based on anticipated capacity funding and job performance, an offer for Director of Resource Development with a full-time salary may be available.
  • Criteria for promotion include consistent fundraising of any amount, meeting deadlines, and actively contributing to team projects.
