What is a PRN Volunteer?
-PRN means "as needed". We are looking for volunteers who would like to be a part of our call list for when we need a volunteer for a specific reason here at The Retreat. Our nurses often reach out asking if we have a volunteer that can come and sit with a patient for them.

What could this consist of?
-Visiting with a patient who may not have visitors or family but they are getting closer to the end of their life.
-Spending time with a patient who does not like to be alone in their room. This could include Alzheimer's and Dementia patients who are dealing with confusion.
-Reading to a patient, walking with them or pushing around in a wheelchair.

Should any needs occur that a nurse feels a volunteer is needed for they will reach out to me and I will then reach out to one of our PRN Volunteers to come assist.
