ORGANIZATION: Lifelong Medical Care

Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact in your community? Join us at LifeLong Medical Care in our mission to support the health and well-being of our patients in the Downtown Oakland Health Center . We are currently seeking dedicated volunteers who can assist in bringing donated fruit and vegetables to our site.

As a volunteer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clinic's patients have access to fresh and nutritious produce. Your responsibilities will include:

Tuesday evenings shift: (6:00-7:00pm)

Building Rapport and Soliciting Donations: You will visit designated sites within the community to ask for donations of fruits and vegetables. Building positive relationships with donors is essential in fostering ongoing support for our clinic
Transportation of Donations: Once donations are secured, you will be responsible for transporting them safely. Your reliability and attention to detail will be key in ensuring that donations arrive fresh and intact.

Wednesday mornings shift: (8:00am-11:30am)

Transportation of Donations II: You will be transporting the vegetables and fruit to the clinic and setting up the Veggie Giveaway.
Food Distribution: You will distribute the food and vegetables to patients in the clinic.

LifeLong Medical Care offers a sliding scale for low income patients based on family size and income. No Patient is denied health care services based on inability to pay.
