Have a smart phone and know how to use it to take high resolution photos? Or have a digital camera? West Tuality Habitat for Humanity, serving Western Washington County, Oregon, would welcome you as a volunteer to come out for a couple of hours to our home building, home repair, neighborhood cleanups and home dedications that happen on the weekends to take photos. You can volunteer at just one event or volunteer at multiple events.
For instance, at a home dedication, you would take photos of:
- The ribbon cutting on the door by the family
- A group photo of the family members that will live in the home
- A group photo of all of the family that is there to support the new homeowner.
- Photos that capture the spirit of the day
At volunteer events where we are building, repairing or cleaning up, you would get photos of volunteers in action, as well as a group photo of participations.
After taking photos, you will upload them to Google Photos or other shared volunteering space and West Tuality Habitat will use these photos on our web site and in various outreach materials.
This is a great way to be a part of the excitement of Habitat for Humanity and see and hear the impact of our programs.
West Tuality Habitat for Humanity believes everyone deserves a safe and decent place to live and volunteers help make it happen. Our programs not only build homes, they build community.
The volunteer photographer will go through an interview with one of our staff members by Zoom, sign a waiver, and must follow our Code of Conduct, which is available on our web site.
Serious applicants only! Please do not sign up for this opportunity unless you can commit to being at the event and staying until the end - about 2 hours.
We will provie the exact location to you for any event once you have been onboarded as the volunteer (the address on VolunteerMatch is our office address - most events are NOT at our office). You are responsible for your own transportation.
We also strongly encourage you to follow West Tuality Habitat for Humanity on Facebook and Instagram and YouTube and to view our web site to learn more about us.
