The Willie J Perry Foundation is excited to announce our !st Annual Book Bag School Supply Giveaway and Community Health Fair on August 3,2024, at Kelly Ingram Park 500 17th Street No. Birmingham, Al 35203 from 10am-2pm.
This event is a celebration of the Late Willie J. Perry aka " The Birmingham Batman" for continuing his legacy of selfless service and community impact.
Former Mayor Richard Arrington offically declared August 3rd as "Willie Perry Day", recognizing Mr. Perry's unwavering committment to helping others.
This year we aim to provide bookbags with school supplies to students in need. These book bags will empower their learning and alleviate the financial burden on their famillies.
The Community Health Fair will provide opportunities for vulnerable communities to access comprehensive health services, resources, and education.

Description
The Willie J Perry Foundation, INC., a 501c3 , non profit organization, whose mission is to establish and operate non-profit social programs to assist individuals in underserved populations, providing a hand up not a hand out to those individuals. The Foundation is motivated to continue the Community service legacy of the late Mr. Willie J. Perry( Birmingham's Batman), who traveled this city helping others however he could in his Rescue Ship car.
To continue the legacy of Mr. Perry's several programs have been established The Wheels of Change, The Community Education Program, The Caring People Making a Difference Humanitarian Service,The Willie Perry Day, and The Annual Vanguard Leadership Awards Program.
