Location: Remote Based in Warner Robins, GA
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Volunteer Fundraiser/Grant Writer to join our team. Wind Haven Foundation is committed to supporting survivors of domestic violence through comprehensive services and advocacy. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in securing the funding necessary to continue and expand our vital programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grant Writing: Research and identify potential grant opportunities. Develop and write compelling grant proposals tailored to the requirements of various funding sources.
- Sponsor Proposals: Create and present sponsorship proposals to potential corporate partners and organizations, highlighting the benefits of supporting our cause.
- Individual Donations: Develop strategies to increase individual donor contributions. Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and potential donors.
- Fundraising Campaigns: Plan, and execute fundraising campaigns, both online and offline, to engage the community and raise awareness about our mission.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all fundraising activities, including donor information, grant applications, and sponsor interactions. Prepare regular reports on fundraising progress and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven education and/or experience in grant writing, fundraising, online and offline, or a related field. Familiarity with the nonprofit sector, particularly in areas related to domestic violence, is a plus.
- Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong research and organizational abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Office Suite and fundraising software.
- Attributes: Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. A strong commitment to the mission of supporting domestic violence survivors.
- Location: While this is a remote position, candidates must be based in or near Warner Robins, GA, to occasionally attend local events or meetings.

Wind Haven aims to help survivors of domestic violence heal from abuse and transform their relationships from destructive to productive. Our goal is to enable them to build healthier connections, heal from the effects of abuse and violence, and foster more fulfilling lives.
Description
Wind Haven is a non-sectarian, interfaith 501c3 community outreach initiative that empowers and uplifts individuals affected by domestic abuse and intimate partner violence. Wind Haven was founded in 2020 at the height of COVID-19 by two survivors, Steph & Sarah Grace.
Wind Haven’s founders are abuse & trauma survivors with our own personal stories of life’s struggles, abusive relationships, and trauma.
Steph was one of many survivors trapped in her home with her abuser during the pandemic and was forced to flee her home with no immune system due to medical treatment. She traveled across multiple state lines and landed at her aunt Sarah's house, and was the first "Wind Havener." To this day, Steph never
