As a volunteer supporting the market managers with day-of-market tasks, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and welcoming atmosphere of the Rocky Butte Farmers Market.
If you choose to support the info booth, your responsibilities will rotate between:
- answering questions
- selling products from and managing the community table
- counting and welcoming shoppers
- ensuring our market is clean and presentable
If you choose to support the Kids Booth, your responsibilities will be:
- assisting with various engaging activities for children. From making their own salad dressing to flower petal art, your creativity and enthusiasm will shine as you help children explore the wonders of food at our market. By providing guidance and encouragement, you will empower children to learn about local produce, healthy eating, and sustainable practices in a playful and engaging manner.
This opportunity is primarily outdoors. Volunteers may sit or stand. Training is available from market staff onsite. It's okay if you're not comfortable using a tablet or completing transactions. We have opportunities that do not require those skills.

RBFM exists to strengthen connections within our diverse community by providing a safe, welcoming, fun, educational, and inclusive community gathering space.
Rocky Butte Farmers Market has its roots in volunteerism. Entirely volunteer-created and majority volunteer-run, RBFM is grateful for the hard work of volunteers. We are a determined and friendly group of neighbors working towards increased food access in our community.
