About ourBRIDGE for KIDS

Location:

3925 Willard Farrow Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215, US

Mission Statement

To foster the education, acculturation, and well-being of newly arrived and first-generation immigrant and refugee children and their families.

Description

ourBRIDGE embraces all faiths and beliefs, providing an inclusive program that provides socio-emotional support and encourages children to feel pride in their culture and backgrounds. Our programs focus on English acquisition, academic support, socio-emotional well-being and cultural awareness and appreciation. Our theory of change is that when refugee and immigrant families are able to access culturally responsive and trauma-informed wraparound care and out-of-school programming in the context of a loving and culturally diverse community, they have an easier time adjusting to the United States and are more able to thrive.
