Thanks for your interest in becoming a volunteer. We are a new organization and our efforts support affordable homes for all - but specifically the working poor. In order to accomplish this goal, we need volunteers. Our current pilot project is building two units. We are almost at the stage of framing, then insulating, sheetrock, etc........

Volunteers can help with many of these tasks. It has been our experience that the typical person that helps is someone retired, or who doesn't work and just has time on their hands and likes to build, remodel, upgrade home-type projects.

This person will help us get the word out, reaching out to groups on fb, CL, churches/ places of worship and maybe univesities. We do have a platform where we can post the announcement too and collect people's information. Besides, blasting the word out - we need help screening and then scheduling.

The ideal person will be able to work with the lead organizer initially for 2 - 3 hours to come up with a plan, set a timeline, create messaging, etc.... After the initial set up, I suspect efforts will require a 1/2 hour to one hour weekly or even every other week. I need someone who is committed for at least through the end of the year and show up. If you are a super busy person and wants to volunteer because you want to give back to the community but are inconsistent or just drop the ball totally, this won't work for us.
