Perfectly Imperfect Pups is a non-profit dog rescue in the Raleigh NC area. We specialize in caring for dogs with elevated medical and special needs; however we embrace inclusivity and welcome all dogs in the rescue when there are open foster homes. These dogs are often the ones overlooked and in most danger at the shelter.
We are looking to add a Social Media Manager to our team. This is a volunteer position. You do not have to be in the Raleigh area to be a part of this team.
We are looking for a COMMITTED person has these skills and / or is willing to grow and learn
· Passion for social media and proficiency with major social media platforms
· Strong copywriting and copy-editing skills - AKA you wont spell everything wrong!
· Good communication skills
· Time management skills with the ability to multitask
· Detail-oriented
· Be open to trying to new things, helping the rescue tell our story as well as the stories of the many dogs in the rescue
· Be able to look at trends and analyze the social media data to determine what is working and what is now.
Summary: The Social Media manager would be responsible for coordinating the organization’s social media channels, executing a results-driven social media strategy, creating/assisting in the creation of written, video, and photo content for all social media outlets, moderating and responding to Facebook responses, maintaining a unified voice across all social platforms, coordinating promotion of programs organization-wide, staying current on industry trends, reviewing analytics and key metrics.
This volunteer position is about 10-15 hours per week (sometimes more and sometimes less). Lots of it can be done around your schedule but sometimes there will be things that need to be posted immediately. We do have a small team of volunteers that are involved in the social media and are there to lend a hand .

Perfectly Imperfect Pups (PIPs) aims to build a community of like-minded, kick-ass dog rescue ninjas that strives to save the lives of at-risk dogs.
Our name says it all, PIPs’ primary focus are medical and special needs dogs that are often overlooked. We call these dogs "PIP-abled" which means perfectly imperfect. A dog that may need a wheelchair, is missing limbs, deaf, blind or in need of some extra love and care - this is our niche.
While we love our PIP-abled dogs; puppies, healthy adult dogs, and seniors have our hearts as well. We are inclusive of all dogs in need.
