Volunteer tutors at the Adult Learning Center at North Shore Community College are integral parts of student success. In particular, we need tutors with expertise in Reading & Writing and/or Math to develop the skills and knowledge to achieve a high school equivalency.

We offer in-person classes for three days per week on both the Danvers and Lynn campuses for students who are at least 16 years old. The Danvers schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:30 - 1:30. The Lynn schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6 - 9 PM. Volunteers commit to 1-3 days for a couple of hours per day depending on their availability and interest. In addition, remote tutoring is needed for our online Distance Learning program for students who cannot attend in-person classes.
