Position: Volunteer Motion Graphics Designer
Location: Remote
Commitment: Approximately 5-10 hours per week
Duration: Ongoing (minimum commitment of 3 months preferred)
Compensation: Volunteer position (unpaid)

Role Overview

As a Volunteer Motion Graphics Designer, you will play a pivotal role in our communications strategy. You will create compelling animation videos that effectively communicate our mission and the impact of our work. Your animations will help us educate our audience about various social issues, promote our initiatives, and engage supporters across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Create Weekly Animations: Develop one animation video per week that highlights specific social issues such as education, livelihood, health, and community development.
  • Concept Development: Collaborate with the communications team to brainstorm and develop creative concepts for videos.
  • Storyboarding: Create storyboards to visualize the flow and key scenes of each video.
  • Animation Production: Utilize motion graphics software to produce high-quality animation videos.
  • Editing and Revisions: Make necessary edits and revisions based on feedback from the team.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all videos align with the organization’s branding and messaging guidelines.
  • File Management: Organize and manage project files efficiently to ensure smooth workflow and accessibility.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Animation Software: Skilled in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, and other relevant motion graphics software.
  • Creativity and Storytelling: Strong creative skills with an ability to tell compelling stories through animation.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and feedback.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively and meet weekly deadlines.
  • Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing your previous motion graphics and animation work.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Social Issues: Prior experience or a strong interest in creating content related to education, livelihood, and social issues.
  • Team Collaboration: Experience working in a team setting, especially in a remote environment.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to feedback and changing project requirements.
