Recruiting Organization: Lifelong
Our Mission: We remove barriers to health with relentless compassion so that no one faces illness and injustice alone.
Founded by volunteers in response to the HIV/AIDS crisis, Lifelong has expanded over the past 40 years to serve people living with chronic illnesses like kidney disease, cancer, and diabetes, as well as seniors and people with disabilities.
We have robust client management and support programs for housing, medical, wellness, dental, aging and disability client + sexual health education and prevention for both adults and youth.
Every week our Chicken Soup Brigade Client Care Advocates, Nutritionists, Chefs and Cooks, Warehouse and Distribution staff and regular weekly volunteers work together to make, package, bag and deliver medically tailored meals and groceries to clients. We serve homebound seniors and people living with serious health conditions across King, Snohomish and Island County.
Where you come in: Lifelong's Chicken Soup Brigade (CSB) needs volunteers to pack bags of meals in our warehouse. Our Thursday evening meal bagging crew is looking to add a new member to this shift. Meal baggers work alongside each other under the direction of one of our Warehouse Specialists. It is fast-paced and fun!
Meal Bagging Volunteers are typically on their feet for most of their shift and need to be able to lift 10-20 pounds.
Available Shift times:
Thursdays 5:30pm - 7:30pm
Ages: Ages 16+; 16-17 with a guardian/parental consent form which we will provide.
