We have a great need for onsite participants located in the Greater Richmond VA Area*
Position: Community Resource-Volunteer/Intern (Unpaid)
Department: Human Service Support-Community Resources
Requirement:
The ideal applicant for our Community Resource Intern must be willing to be a skilled, resourceful, and a caring individual. Responsibilities include supporting staff with documentation of records, creating community outreach resource spreadsheets.
Supervisor: Executive Director
Classification: Volunteer/Unpaid Intern
Hours: 10-20 hours per /week
Time: Flexible
Location: Virtual and/or locally in Richmond, VA
Work Duration: Minimum of 10 hrs/weekly
*For Internship Placements :180 hrs- Undergraduate Students/ 120 hrs- Graduate Students
*For Volunteers: Minimum 10 hrs/ week
Qualifications
Currently enrolled college student with related experience and transferable skills in Health Education, Human Resources, or a related field
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Excellent organizational and management skills; able to meet deadlines
Excellent people skills
Flexible personality
Experiential Learner
Proficient with Google Workspace, Google sheets, Google Drive usage, Acrobat like PDF editor, Asana, prefer proficiency in Canva , other social media software/tools, including Instagram and Facebook
Experience with budgeting and account management preferred
Master's degree Public Health preferred

Responsibilities
Help with developing local resource webpage
May participate in grant writing planning, executing, delivering
Participate in staff meetings
Provide routine reports as instructed
Research, document, and share community resources
Refer families to community organizations as needed
Assist Executive Director with related tasks as needed
