Juneteenth is a holiday celebrating the emancipation of enslaved people in the US. On Wednesday, June 19th, Johnson County will be commemorating this day of freedom with their 3rd annual Juneteenth Celebration at Lenexa City Center.
Volunteers are needed for 2 hour shifts or 30 minute shift to help with setting-up chairs, directing people from the parking, passing out water, greeting attendees, and clean-up.
Although this is an outdoor event, an air conditioned indoor hospitality room will be available to volunteers helping with the event.
Teen volunteers are welcome but you will need your parents permission to serve.
