Are you interested in joining an exciting team that presents high quality community programs? We're seeking volunteers with experience in organizing events in the areas of art exhibitions, literary readings and film events. Excellent opportunity for anyone wishing to support a community arts institution and can invest a few hours a week. Our programs are in-person and virtually. Must have 2-3 years experience in organizing programs and events for our volunteer opportunity. Please submit your resume with your a short note of interest. Thank you.
African Voices Communications, Inc. is celebrating 32 years of providing excellent artistic programming in literature, art and film. Our literary magazine is being archived by Spelman College and Reel Sisters of the Diaspora Film Festival & Lecture Series is women centered festival to achieve Academy qualifying status. Key exciting duties you will support in your role as our public program coordinator:

African Voices Communications, Inc is a non-profit arts organization devoted to supporting art, literature and film by artists of color.
Description
Founded in 1992, the organization publishes a national literary magazine and sponors community programs for emerging artists including literary readings, writers conferences and workshops, a film festival for women of color and other events. African Voices runs the Reel Sisters of the Diaspora Film Festival & Lecture Series and Get Your Read On!, an arts literacy program for young people in low income communities.
