Join our team of dedicated volunteers who visit with our hospice patients in the New Bedford community. Volunteers spend time getting to know the patient and reminense with them about their life. They offer companionship and socilization. Spend time watching tv, helping with writing cards or letters, helping with making a blanket, reading books and so much more.
Our volunteer program provided training and field experience. Great way to learn about hospice and a part of healthcare that is so important to all who are on our service.
Reach out today, to find out how you can be part of the Fall River Beacon Hospice volunteer team.

Description
Someone needs your help today...join the volunteers at Beacon Hospice. Your gift is your presence.
No matter who you are, you've got something to offer hospice patients. Typically, the needs are simple - companionship and friendship, emotional support, someone to listen- but the small things you do can make an enormous difference in someone's life. Volunteers are supervised by a volunteer coordinator and supported by other members of the patient care team. The Beacon Hospice approach to care creates a patient and family environment of hope, comfort, and dignity. This approach is extended through our volunteers, who can make an enormous differnece in someone's life.
