Volunteer Nonprofit Accountant Needed for NicerFL Welcome Centers for Refugees and New Immigrants
NicerFL, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, is seeking an experienced volunteer accountant to join our team. We provide free educational services and resources to new immigrants, refugees, and their children in Tampa, Pinellas, and Sarasota counties in Florida.
In this role, you will:
- Manage NicerFL's financial records using QuickBooks
- Assist with annual tax filing 990EZ
- Provide financial guidance and oversight to our leadership team
This is a volunteer position requiring just 2 hours or less per week. Nonprofit accounting experience is required.

Description
NicerFL Welcome Centers, located in Pinellas Park, USF Tampa, and Sarasota, provide comprehensive integration support for refugees and other new immigrants through a network of welcoming centers. These centers serve as safe, inclusive spaces where refugees can access services, participate in programs, and connect with others. We offer a wide range of immigrant support services, including personalized intake and newcomer immigrant support planning, English language life skills and cultural integration classes at 4 language levels, family literacy projects, career coaching, referral services, resource mentoring, well-being projects, and newcomer youth academic services.
NicerFL volunteers work hard to make sure that every new neighbor is welcomed and connected to the larger Florida community where they live. We also help newcomers transition to a new life in Florida.
