Great Sand Dunes NP&P (GRSA) resource management staff collects a wide variety of data on the biological environment to monitor natural conditions within the Park. Volunteers benefit this effort by assisting in the data gathering, learning more about park resources, and bringing their expertise to the process.
Responsibilities include navigating to research plots, note taking, setting small mammal traps, releasing the small mammals, pit tagging the small mammals, putting out small feeders, using remote cameras, using IF sensory equipment, using GPS equipment, giving presentation to education related groups, and advising on research needs and/or data gathering platforms.
