We owe all vets respect and thanks for defending our freedoms. Now in their time of need, we have a chance to honor them. Everyone deserves a needs a friend especially during their last moments. That is why here at Heartland Hospice, we are lookin g for veterans who would be willing to join our volunteer team for our Veteran-to-Veteran Program.
As a volunteer , you will be connected to one of our wonderful patients who has served our country in YOUR area to visit and provide companionship in their home or facility. Some ways you can do that is:
Holding their hand
Share a story
Listen to their story
Read a book, newspaper, magazine
There is no experience needed. We will provide all the training you need at no cost to you.
If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please reach out for more information and our Volunteer Coordinator will email you with the next steps!
