Come be a part of this exciting camp experience working with children of unique abilities! We'd love to have you join our volunteer "white shirt" team this summer as either a one-on-one buddy with a child or on our Activities Team helping to organize the activities throughout the day!
Why: Camp Escapades is an innovative summer camp for children with disabilities and medical conditions and their siblings.
Who: Momentum is dedicated to advancing the independence, productivity, and full citizenship of children and adults with disabilities and medical conditions. Momentum helps individuals with disabilities at all stages of life live their day to day lives, families and caregivers.
What to Expect:
Register to volunteer with us for one, two or three weeks.
Be a big part of a child's favorite summer memory
Connect with awesome individuals and a supportive community
Fulfill your school or community group service hour requirements
Discover new passions as you gain new experiences
Learn new things and help execute and organize camp activities
Make friends and have fun
Free Parking will be available within a short walking distance of the camp
What's Required:
Attend two Volunteer Orientations (6/24 3pm-6pm and 7/9 5-7pm)
3 Weeks of Camp- volunteer for 1, 2 or 3 weeks
7/15-7/19, 7/22-7/26 and/or 7/29-8/2)
Hours:
8:30AM-3PM- Mon, Wed. & Thurs
8:30AM-3:30PM- Tuesday & Friday
Volunteers must be ages 14 and up
Before confirmation of acceptance to volunteer opportunity, must fill out application, consent forms, proof of TB test and optional Covid-19 vaccination
Volunteers 18+ will need background check and fingerprinting

We have different events throughout the year: Momentum Celebrates (April 27th- largest fundraising event- setup, event and breakdown, Annual Golf Classic (June 3rd), Sensory Trick or Treating, Momentum Holiday Marketplace, Adult Homes day programs & celebrations
