Description
My connection with Colombia started as an ESL volunteer in Puerto Colombia as well. I fell in love with the culture and the country. During my volunteer term I made life-long friendships with the people I met and especially the principal of the school I volunteered at. I wanted to create a foundation to benefit Puerto Colombia exclusively and that's how Manos a la Obra was born.
I lived in Colombia from 2011 until 2016 and have traveled back and forth extensively since then. In my last trip, I worked a lot with the principal of Javier Cisneros school in Puerto Colombia and formed Manos a la Obra Colombia. My goal is to send one volunteer this year and continue by sending 3 in 2025.
The goal will be to transform the community of Puerto Colombia.
