Mission : Our mission is to help educators transform a child’s learning experience through hands-on education to one that inspires the joy and discovery of learning.

RAFT offers over 80 different STEAM activity kits to our educator members. We rely solely on volunteers to help us put together the kit activities and we are looking for someone to help supplement our small and mighty RAFT team.

RAFT seeks volunteers to work with RAFT production staff to help build our fun and engaging STEAM activity kits. This will serve as a critical part of helping RAFT support educators!

WHAT YOU WOULD DO

  • Offer a welcoming environment for volunteers
  • Setup and breakdown of kit building stations, including cleaning, organizing, etc.
  • Maintain the volunteer room to be neat and organized to reflect RAFT’s brand image.
  • Understand RAFT’s STEAM Learning Activity Kit catalog and produce kits independently as well as support volunteers and staff with production.
  • Perform tasks such as processing & bar coding.
  • QA completed kits to ensure RAFT quality is maintained.
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts.
  • Manage and track materials used in kit production, including retrieving materials from or putting materials back in our mezzanine.

WHOM WE ARE LOOKING FOR
This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in volunteering as well as those who are passionate about RAFT’s mission and working with their hands. We need volunteers to help us 7 days a week, emphasizing Saturday & Sunday. Shifts will be for 3 hours and will take place between 9 am-4 pm.

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS
  • Customer Service- High-quality interaction with staff and volunteers
  • Organized
  • Work with limited supervision.
  • Able to lift 20 pounds without assistance.
  • Clear background check (RAFT to pay for)
  • Be fully vaccinated and boosted (one shot) against COVID-19
