The Remann Hall Book Club was started in 2013 as a way to encourage young people incarcerated at Remann Hall in Tacoma to engage with books and grow their love of reading.
Each meeting contains discussion ions about books, opportunities for volunteers and teens to connect around a shared love of literature, and space for volunteers to refresh book carts and get books from the library.
All volunteers will have to become volunteers through the Pierce County Court, which requires an application and a background check.
