Volunteers to visit with hospice patients are needed throughout Sumter and Lake counties. If you have a passion for caring for others, and if you're looking for a way to make a difference in people's lives, consider becoming a hospice volunteer.
You will visit a patient in their home or nursing home typically once a week for about an hour. You may volunteer weekdays, evenings, weekends. Days and time are flexible.

Our volunteer can make a difference in many ways to improve the life of patients who are facing a life-limiting illness. From direct contact with patients to providing clerical support, the volunteer is an important part of our hospice care team. At Amedisys, we offer comprehensive training and creative ideas. people helping people. that is what giving to hospice care is all about. As a Hospice volunteer and as an important part of our Hospice Care Team, you can help improve the quality of life of our Patients, as well as their family and caregivers.
