Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument (SAPU) is looking for Volunteers-in-Parks (VIP) to join the park’s Interpretation Division! We are an innovative and fast-paced park looking for VIPs to join our team to help us build and leverage community partnerships, develop strategies to increase interpretive programs, and work alongside our diverse and dynamic team!
Support the Interpretation Division with the operation of the four (4) Visitor Centers at Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument! As a Volunteers-in-Parks (VIP), professionally represent the National Park Service by providing,
- Exceptionally high-quality customer/visitor service.
- Opening and closing the facility.
- Providing orientation, information, and interpretation to visitors, during on-site and off-site events.
- Informing visitors about park activities.
- Conveying Park safety and health hazards to the public.
- Distributing maps and brochures as requested.
- Operating a cash register and selling bookstore merchandise.
- And accurately collecting and accounting for monies and operating basic audio-visual equipment.
