Role Description
This is a remote, Volunteer Intern position as a Team Manager for The Animal Cause, Inc. This role will serve in a team setting so that no schedule is required of any Intern, workload is shared and collaboration is fundamental to the success of the role.
The Team Managers will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team of volunteers and interns. The Team Manager will also be involved in our partnership programs. The role requires coordinating and facilitating volunteer/intern programs, managing volunteer/intern support, and outreach tasks as designated by leadership.
Responsibilities
Recruit, train and retain virtual/remote/work from home volunteers
Facilitate conference/video calls
Create and distribute communication
Follow up on, ensure task completion, and performance expectations of volunteers
Due to projects, more responsibilities may be assigned
Responsibilities may evolve
Qualifications
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work remotely and independently
Passion for animal welfare and advocacy
Experience in managing teams or volunteers/interns
Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks
Experience in coordinating volunteer/intern services
Flexible and adaptable to changing situations
Comfortable using technology and digital platforms

Note: As this is a volunteer position, compensation will not be provided. You must be a United States citizen and at least 18 years of age to apply.
At this time, we do not accept court-ordered service hours nor track community service hours.
Volunteers must not have conflicting associations with similar non-profit organizations or other business related to animal welfare.
