Are you passionate about education and making a difference in the lives of children? Join us for an exciting opportunity this summer! We're seeking dedicated volunteers to assist with our summer education program.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
Assist with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) lessons
Support in the computer lab
Help prepare and distribute snacks for participants
Collaborate with instructors to create hands-on examples for daily lessons
Set out supplies for various activities
Engage in outdoor play sessions
Assist with program set-up and clean-up
Accompany and supervise children on off-site excursions
Program Details:
July 1st to August 1st
Monday to Thursday
12:30 PM to 4:00 PM
Volunteers are required to commit to at least one day per week, with each shift lasting a minimum of two hours, for the entirety of the program.
Requirements:
Passion for working with children ranging from 1st to 8th grade.
Commitment to the program schedule
Enthusiasm for STEAM education and outdoor activities
Ability to work well in a team and independently
Must have vehicle or other means of transportation as we will be meeting off-site on excursion days
Volunteers must be either 18 years of age or older, or currently enrolled as a senior in high school.

WHO WE ARE: Friendly Center has been helping less-fortunate children and their families move toward self-sufficiency for 95 years. This is done through over 20 programs and services. We provide life-changing assistance to more than 1,000 families each year.
WHAT WE DO: We help the entire family with programs in education, food support, and mental health services. Our goal is to meet the needs a family may face, get them back on their feet, and prevent the cycle from continuing to the next generation.
